Holley accelerator pump is leaking

I have an 850 Holley with mechanical secondaries. How do I tell if I need to get 30 or 50cc diaphrams? Also, practise auto part stores conduct these or is it a Acme or speed shop type detail?

Thanks for pointing it out.

I have 50cc pumps, simply the diaphragm looks fine. I'yard going to replace it anyways along with new bowl, metering block, and bowl spiral gaskets. Am I missing anything else that could have been leaking and dripping off the bottom of the accelerator pump?

With regards to the bladder basin screws, brand sure that the old gasket material is completely removed from the underside of the screw and the bowl itself when reassembling. New spiral gaskets are a must. The plastic ones are re-usable. A minor leak from the lesser right bowl screw can sometimes look like a leak from the accelerator pump.

A pocket-sized leak from the bottom correct bowl screw can sometimes look like a leak from the accelerator pump.
Agreed.

I now have a way to fix those leaky accelorator pumps that warp now. I call up I posted something up a while ago about information technology.

I took the carb off, replaced the bowl, metering cake, and bowl screw gaskets along with new accelerator pump diaphragms. Bolted the carb dorsum on and fired it up. No leaks, only something isn't right. It was really hard to keep the engine running until it warmed up. I kept having to flutter the gas pedal to keep the rpms upwards without stalling. Once warmed upwardly information technology'll idle, just when you go to take off it wants to stall / bogg down. Once y'all get past that initial take-off, it seems to run ok.
Any ideas what I might have done or what could be causing this? I made certain I was careful not to modify whatsoever settings because the carb ran beautiful earlier.
The carb is on a zz502. Car was in storage for a yr, just I did use Stabil in the gas. I'thou a lilliputian frustrated!

Y'all said you replaced the metering block...was it the verbal aforementioned one? A 502 needs a bigger idle circuit than a 350 does. Holleys are EXTREMELY sensitive to clay. I've seen idle go to hell in a hamdbasket because of a tiny piece of lint in the lower idle fuel restrictions. Even some dried gas residue can decrease the diameter plenty to cause a poor idle. I always run strong piano wire up through every passage to make sure null is lodged in in that location. Same with the air bleeds in the chief body. Run wire downward there..if the idle improves..you removed a small blockage. Holleys are stupid-sensitive to idle problems.

I merely replaced the gaskets to the components, same metering blocks.
I don't know much almost Holleys other than your typical adjustments and changing jets. I'll encounter if I tin can find a diagram and endeavor to clean all the passages.
Just a idea, what would a vacuum leak human action like?
